Report Network Abuse

WebPod is an unmanaged infrastructure provider. We do not monitor or access customer workloads. However, we strictly enforce our Acceptable Use Policy to protect the integrity of our network and the wider internet.

1. How to Submit a Report

To ensure your report is processed quickly, please send all abuse complaints directly to our dedicated abuse desk box via email. We do not accept abuse reports via phone or live chat.

abuse@webpod.co.uk

2. Required Information

For us to verify the abuse and take action, your email must include the following information. Incomplete reports may be discarded.

  • The exact IP address on our network causing the issue.
  • Precise timestamps including the time zone (UTC preferred).
  • Plain-text logs proving the abuse (e.g., server logs, email headers).
  • A clear description of the malicious activity.

Note: Please send raw, plain-text logs. Do not send screenshots of your terminal or log files. Automated parsers cannot read screenshots.

3. Types of Abuse We Handle

Please route reports to us for any of the following activities originating from our ASNs:

  • Spam & UCE: Unsolicited commercial email or SMTP abuse.
  • Network Attacks: DDoS, port scanning, or brute-force attempts.
  • Malware & Phishing: Hosting of malicious binaries, command & control (C2) servers, or fraudulent websites.
  • Copyright Infringement: DMCA or UK equivalent copyright violation notices.

4. Our Incident Process

Because we provide unmanaged infrastructure, a compromised server is often the result of a customer's outdated software rather than malicious intent.

Upon receiving a valid report, our standard procedure is:

  • We verify the logs against our internal flow data.
  • We forward the report to the customer, granting them a strict, time-limited window to secure their Pod and resolve the issue.
  • If the customer fails to respond, or if the abuse is severe (e.g., active outbound DDoS or phishing), we will null-route the IP or suspend the server immediately.

Please note: Due to the high volume of automated abuse reports generated globally, we cannot guarantee a personalized reply to every submission, but every valid report is investigated.
